Email. Facebook messaging. Twitter mentions. Social media has given us the opportunity to connect to friends, family, colleagues, customers and even complete strangers.

We can even send a simple message in seconds from our mobile devices, no matter where we are or what we’re doing. Whether it’s for work or for leisure, you can get in contact immediately with almost anyone these days and be notified instantly when someone’s trying to reach you.

Before we had the Internet and smartphones, communication could only be done face to face, by regular phone calls, voicemail, snail mail or post-its. Could you imagine if we ever had to go back to that?
