(ICTPress) - Now and in the future, our world will improve a lot thanks to networked society’s  developments. Many social pages like Facebook, Zing me, Twiter, … have a lot of users.

On Facebook, everyone can post pictures and people like or comment those pictures. On there, somebody make friend with us to present or to sell merchandise. Students like us use Facebook to exchange the way to do our homework, share our feeling after the lessons, play games or relax. On Facebook, you can meet many different types of people, from the bad people to the good people. It also has games, too.

“Google” is also part of the networked society. It helps me a lot in study and it can answer many questions we ask it.

On “yahoo” we can send mail to each other or talk without meeting, too.

And many online news papers like Dan tri, vnexpress, … have and update news hourly for us to read. I like some news about stars like famous singers and actors, actresses.

In summary, networked society connects the people in the world together.

I want to show you some exciting places like: Mot Cot pagoda, Hoan Kiem lake, Huong pagoda, My Dinh station, Ho Chi Minh museum, Lenin park,… It’s still fresh like very long time ago, and now it grew up, you can see. However, I forgot one, that is Keangnam tower, the highest tower in the Northland. The tours and the hotel room are so wonderful. We will serve you professionally. If you think that it’s not true, you can come here, you’ll see everything I told you is true.

(ICTPress) - After Christmas and new year holidays, now Santa Claus is reading letters again and watching their writers in new year 2014. Some pretty letters read as follows.

Dear Santa Claus,

My name is Ha. I’m seven years old. My birthday is 19th, December. My class is JS4.16, Wider World language center.

Since I could read and learn English at Wider World, I knew a lot of about Christmas Day - this is an important festival in the West.

On Christmas Day, people often decorate their home beautifully. Most of families decorate the Christmas tree. They have stars, bells and gifts around the tree. On Christmas Eve, the Santa Claus will come to give gifts to childrens.

In Vietnam, I have seen Santa Claus who wear a red shirt, red hat giving presents to childrens. I really love to receive gifts from Santa Claus in this Christmas Day.

So, I’m writing this letter to send to Santa Claus for showing my love and respect. I hope you will stay healthy to be able to give gifts in many places. Finally, I look forward to seeing you on this Christmas Eve.

Best wish

Hoang Ha

Dear, Santa Claus!

My name is Viet. I’m eleven years old. I’m a student of 5E class at Dang Tran Con A primary school. I like drawing very much.

I usually draw something like: Monster, cars, supermen,…I sent my drawings to my favorite magazines and I’m so happy when I saw my drawings on my favorite magazines. I made this card by myself.

I want to be a successful architect when I grow up. I will design amazing sky-scrapers. I will learn hard and try my best to make my dream come true.

Merry Christmas

Nguyen Cong Viet

Life & English: "The best place to go for Christmas in Hanoi"

Tóm tắt:

Here are suggestions to the best place to go for Christmas in the capital city.

Although Christmas is not a public holiday inVietnam, it has been received much recognition from the local residents. From the beginning of December,Hanoi’s streets are all decorated with Noel’s patterns that create a festive environment helping any expats off being homesick in the night of Christmas.Hanoi’s weather also supports the day which is often cold and dry; the only missing factor for a perfect Noel is snow.

Integrating withHanoi’s festive environment, you can totally have fun for this Christmas if you are inHanoi. Here are suggestions to the best place to go for Christmas in the capital city:

Hang Ma Street

Located in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, Hang Ma Street always catches up with the trend by selling ornaments in special events like International Children’s Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, New Year Eve, Tet Holiday and Christmas. Anything you need to decorate your Christmas tree as well as gifts and greeting cards can easily be found here with low prices.

Making full use of your trip to walk aroundHanoi’s Old Quarter should be a good idea since it may remind you of your hometown with Christmas Trees being put up in front of restaurants; snowmen made from cotton near Ice-cream shops or numbers of Santa and his reindeers on sides of clothe stores. It’s not weird if you see one or two Santa driving motorbike instead of the reindeers on streets because they are actually gifts delivers.

Church

Praying in church is an indispensible for any Christian believer in the night of Christmas. Luckily, there are many churches around Hanoiin which ones may enjoy a wide variety of religious activities as well as hymns singing and other music performance. Among the churches around Hanoi, Saint Josep Cathedral (40 Nha Trung Street, Hoan Kiem) should be the most magnificent and famous one. Besides, ones may visitHamLongChurch (21 Ham Long Street, Hoan Kiem) or Cua Bac Church (56 Phan Dinh Phung, Ba Dinh).

Hotels dinner buffet

Christmas is when high-star hotels inHanoioffer the most luxury buffet party and hilarious music performance. Standing out among the hotels should be Sofitel Metropole Hanoi where 1001 fairy tales are reproduced in one night in its La Beaulieu andSpicesGardenrestaurant. Artists wearing Aladdin, Snow White or Peter Pan costume will entertain you with special art shows while tasting excellent international foods. The price is USD 75 for an adult, USD 46 for children aging 9-12 and USD 33 for kid from 3-8.

With a lower price range, from USD 20-40, tourists can still enjoy a luxury Christmas night at Hilton Hanoi Opera, Melia Hanoi or Hanoi Daewoo.

Music shows and parties

On the night of Christmas or the night before, there are many fantastic music shows of many genres such as pop-ballad; classic or jazz occurring in Hanoi, especially the outside area of Hanoi Opera House and the inside as well. The themes of those shows are no doubt about Christmas.

Additionally, international organizations and universities and embassies usually organize Christmas party to welcome their native civilians and ones with the same interest to join and cheer up for the night.

Shopping malls

Because there is no Black Friday inHanoi, Noel and New Year Eve are good chances for shopping malls launching their biggest promotional campaign of the year which shocking sale off and hundreds of new arrivals. Parson,VincomPlazaTower,RubyPlazaand Garden Mall are the most remarkable shopping centers inHanoi. Don’t miss this golden opportunity to pick up one or two most trendy pieces of fashion.

Life & English: “Happy Tearcher’s day”

Tóm tắt:

(ICTPress)- Happy teacher’s day. This day is very special for all of us.

Happy teacher’s day. This day is very special for all of us.

We can get 10 points to make a present for our teacher or we can make some activities to greet this event. We can sing or dance with songs about teacher and school.

Everyone wants to say “Happy 20-11” to teachers whom they love and respect very much. The hearts of students are sent to teachers by some simple gifts such as: rose, wall- nespaper…

They want to express their feeling: happiness, respect, love to their dear teachers. So it is really a special day for both student and teacher.
