(ICTPress) - Life Without Limits.

In my mind, Nick Vujicic is a great & wonder man who inspired me in my life. He makes me feel happy and confident in myself.

Nick Vujicic was born and raised in 1982 inAustralia. He is an unlucky man with no arms and no legs. It was a shock to his parents but they always took  care and taugh him by an immense love.

When he was eight years old, he couldn’t see a bright future and he became depressed. When he was ten years old, he decided to end his life by drowning himself in his bathtub. But he realized  his death will make  his family grieve and after that, they will live with a broken heart and guilt. He couldn’t do that to them.

After that, he wasn’t never again depressed thinking about his childhood, and it made him know he must try and never give up. He started to believe in God and it has begun an amazing journey. He tried to do many things and he can play many sports likes: tennis, badmiton....

He started to speak when he was nineteen years old.  He spoke dozens of times before a small groups over the next two years.  He left the university when he was twenty one years old. After that, he became a speaker, he has travelled around the world and he has shared the story about his life with many people. Nick has written some books like: Life Without Limits: Inspiration for a Ridiculously Good Life...

He got married in February 12th 2012 with Kanae Miyahara. He realized that all people need love and that they have wanted to share this love to everybody. So, Nick has travelled to more than 24 countries and throughout that journeys he has meet about 3.000.000 people. He inspired the people who were unlucky like him and he desired to bring a good life for them. His dream began to come true. I remember Nick said: “We all make mistakes, but none of us are mistakes”. “Never give up”- Nick’s message has sent to everybody and he hopes everybody will be happy and have a good life. You can log on to Youtube to see Nick’s presentation and then, you will think that you are luckier than other many people

We are facing a severe environmental pollution, which resulted in ozone depletion. This puts our earth on a great danger. Imagine what will happen if we don’t do anything about this.

I believe we can do something for a better future.  Instead of going by car motor vehicles, using public transport such as bus or subway will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. But you can also see the negative effects of  buses inHanoiand many other cities around the world. It does not reduce emissions but produces a lot more gas. So I believe that a better choice to protect the environment is biking. It is environmentally friendly because it helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and cost-effective.. By doing so, we save both money and  natural resources. While many people are concerned that they night be late for their appointlment because riding a bike would take more time to travel, we can use power cycling.

Think carefully and it's your choice to save the earth, our common home.

(ICTPress) - My country is my homeland, too. I want my country to be prosperous to next generation have a good life.

Today, I want to write about my country.

My country has three regions. I live in Northland. The Northland has mountains, rivers, jungles, fields, houses, and town. In the road, transport is so big. The towers are very tall. But in rural areas, the deserted road of rural beauty. On the terraced mountain, people prepare for harvest.

Coming to Central, you can see all the passes, the hills. InHuecity, sidewalk along the Central specialty counters, we can buy or make gifts of food for friends and relatives. Near the Southward is the beautiful Nha Trang beach.

Down is the Southward. Come Southward, you will have fun and entertain because region is the best recreational activities in the country. But go to the rural areas, the rural girls dress Ba Ba clothes. It makes more beautiful landscape.

I love my country very much. My country is my homeland, too. I want my country to be prosperous to next generation have a good life.

Life & English: “The thought of life”

Tóm tắt:

(ICTPress) - This is a story of the two grains of rice.

(ICTPress) - This is a story of the two grains of  rice. They were kept as seeds for next year because both of them were good and strong.

One day, the farmer said that he will sow them in the field nearby his house.

The first grain of rice said to itself: " I do not want my whole body to be rotten in the cold soil. It is best to keep us all nutrients in the crust and find an ideal place to reside". Then it chose a hidden corner of the barn to roll on it.

The second grain of rice took sometimes to decide that he wants to be planted in the field. Next day. It was really happy to start a new life.

As time passed, the first grain of rice was dried up in the corner of the barn because it did not receive water and light. Now its nutrients do not help - it is dying. Meanwhile, the second grain of rice was crushing, grew and become a tall stalk of rice that produced hundreds more grains. For the next years, the farmer continued to plant all the seeds that has originated from the very first grain and year after year, the harvest continued to multiply.

Never shut yourself in a shell, let’s contribute to life and grow.

(ICTPress) - He is a man with extraordinary energy.

Several days before, my friends and I went to the stadium to meet Nick Vujicic. He is a man with no legs, no arms. It was  a pleasure to meet him.

Nick told us about his life. He said when he was ten years old, he wanted to kill himself because he was desperate. At school, his fiends made fun of him and he thought in the future, he can’t find a job and can’t get married. But now, he was just married last year and they are having a baby boy. He never gives up. He has been to  47 countries to deliver a speech. He is a man with extraordinary energy.

Life & English: “Future Living Studio”

Tóm tắt:

Exhibition, lectures and discussion on the subject of sustainable design for office and living by Goethe Institute

Today, 12th of June, Goethe Institute is exhibiting a collection of new products & furniture for future offices; end results of the 3rd edition of Future Living Studio.

Future Living Studio (FLS) is a temporary design studio, it establishes a team of 3 local designers and 3 international designers from France, Australia and Germany who collaborate closely with some Vietnamese bamboo and rattan companies during 3 months in order to develop a series of new products. FLS is a sub-project of SPIN (Sustainable Product Innovation project), funded by EU SWITCH-Asia. The 1st and 2nd editions of FLS were organised in Ho-Chi-Minh City. The 3rd edition of FLS is now running for the first time in Hanoi.

FLS also aspires to transfer design capacity to the companies by involving them in every step of the design process, from extensive user research to co-design with factory workers. Doing so will help Vietnamese products to compete for their design value and not just on cost price or on volume.

Considering their capacity for innovation, the designers have been developing new products and furniture for green offices that induce different levels of innovation: from redesign to product system. They have defined a vision for the future of offices inVietnam and decided to explore adaptability, playfulness, flexibility and cultural heritage in the usage of products such as a multi-position chair, a moving desk, an expandable partition.

(ICTPress) - The Liberty Bell is an iconic symbol of independence and freedom in the United States. Why was the bell cracked?

On road from New York to Washington DC, we visited the Liberty Bell inPhiladelphia, the old capital of United States.

The Liberty Bell is an iconic symbol of independence and freedom in the United States. The bell was commissioned from the London firm of Lester and Pack, today know as the Whitechapel Bell Foundry, in 1752, and was cast with the lettering "Proclaim Liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof."

The Liberty Bell was originally located in the steeple of the Pennsylvania State House, now renamed Independence Hall. Bells were rung to mark the reading of the Declaration of Independence on July 8, 1776. In its early years, the bell was used to summon lawmakers to legislative sessions and to alert citizens about public meetings and proclamations. After American independence was secured, it fell into relative obscurity for some years. In the 1830s, the bell was adopted as a symbol by abolitionist societies, who dubbed it the "Liberty Bell," It's now located in Philadelphia's Liberty Bell Center.

Liberty Bell

Why was the bell cracked? That is a common question young visitors ask. The guide said that the bell was cracked when first rung after arrival inPhiladelphia, and it was twice recast by local workmenJohnPassand John Stow, whose last names appear on the bell. However, that explanation seemed not enough to us. A crack mark in the Liberty Bell could always be a question mark about real freedom and real liberty.

(ICTPress)- How do Japan’s artists, living in an increasingly globalized world and in a time when shared values are hard to establish, see our contemporary world? Please visit  “Winter Garden” - Contemporary Japanese Art Exhibition.

In celebration of the Japan – Vietnam Friendship Year 2013, the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam and Consulate-General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, proudly present the cutting-edge contemporary art exhibition “Winter Garden” from 8-23 June in Hanoi and 6-21 July 2013 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Curated by art critic Midori Matsui, the exhibition “Winter Garden: The Exploration of the Micropop Imagination in Contemporary Japanese Art” features 35 works – drawings, paintings, and video works – by 14 young Japanese artists active from the latter half of the 1990s throughout the first decade of the 21st century.

The artists presenting their distinctive views of the world through the combination of fragments and imbuing the obsolete or the commonplace with new functions or meanings, share the similar style of expression.

It is noteworthy that this exhibition includes three video works by Koki Tanaka, who has been selected as the representative artist for theJapanpavilion at the 55th International Art Exhibition inItaly.

How doJapan’s artists, living in an increasingly globalized world and in a time when shared values are hard to establish, see our contemporary world? We hope that visitors to “Winter Garden” will nurture the understanding of empathy with the insights and perspectives of the artists through the exhibited works.
